PREFACE.
In finishing our Illustrated Catalogue, we complete au arduous undertaking, which we are glad to
conclude, it being much more of a task than we bargained for, in our minds, at the outset. We have the
satisfaction, however, of presenting to those wishing a most complete series of engravings of Furniture, such
as all dealers are constantly in want of. We shall be much deceived if this work will not be found to be
useful to all who trade in Furniture. The low price that we charge for it, will, we trust, induce every one
to supply themselves with a copy. We have arranged the cuts with numbers, which correspond with the
numbers on our Tradesmen's Index. We do this that the current prices with us may be continually
fresh. We shall always put our prices down as low as we possibly can ; this we are determined to do, and
our efforts, we hope, will be duly appreciated by the country dealer.
